Accessibility
We want this shop to be usable by everyone. This statement describes where we stand — what works, and what does not.
What we follow
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We publish this statement voluntarily.
Current state
Assessed on 8 October 2026 by ourselves, covering the home page, shop, product page, cart, checkout, my account and returns, in both German and English:
- automated testing with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 A and AA
- manual keyboard testing: skip link, focus order, colour and size selection, accordions, forms
Result: no automatically detectable violations. Every page can be operated entirely by keyboard, every interactive element shows a visible focus indicator, and each page starts with a skip link to the main content.
What is not accessible yet
- The payment fields at checkout come from our payment provider Mollie and are loaded directly from them. We have no influence on their accessibility.
- Our invoices are PDF files without structural tagging (no PDF/UA). Screen readers can therefore only partly interpret them. Write to us and we will send the invoice details as text.
- The alternative texts of product images give the product and colour but do not describe what the image shows.
- We have not tested the shop with people who use assistive technology. Our own assessment does not replace that.
Report a barrier
If you come across something you cannot operate, write to hello@kulston.com. It helps to say which page it was and what you are using (browser, assistive technology). We will reply within two weeks.
